Advocate Park Ridge St. Patrick’s Day Party Recap

Maggie Olsen Party Recap Leave a Comment

We had an AMAZING time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with the patients and families at Advocate Park Ridge! There were 6 patients that were able to come down to the playroom and an additional 29 that we were able to visit bedside. With it being flu season a lot of kiddos were on isolations, so they were extremely excited and appreciative when we were able to bring the party to their individual rooms. We had a very special fairy join us at our party. Thank you to Jessica from Parties with Character for bringing a smile to everyones face.

We had 2 friends who stayed with us partying in the playroom for the whole party!! They both loved working on the crafts, enjoying the potbelly’s sandwiches and interacting with our amazing volunteers. It was so great to see these patients escape their reality and just feel like a kid again.

Thank you to Grant Thornton for sponsoring and packing the craft kit boxes for the party!

Thank you to Alli for volunteering your time! This was Alli’s first party and she was truly amazing. Thank you Matt – long time supporter and on the Holiday Heroes executive board.

HUGE thank you to Lori Maxwell for volunteering to be our lead volunteer for Advocate Park Ridge! This was her first party in this role and she totally rocked it! Interested in learning more about the Lead Hero volunteer position? Click here.
